Statement necklaceses aren’t a new trend at all, but until now I wasn’t able to find the perfect one for me, it should be simple, elegant, matching to a lot of outfits and suddenly I had an idea: creating my own statement necklace! It was pretty easy, because one year ago I bought a bracelet with remarkable rhinestones on it, but I didn’t wear it even once, therefore I thought it would be a great idea to „recycle“ the rhinestones and transform them to the statement necklace shown below.
Statement Ketten sind nun wirklich nicht der neueste Trend, aber bis jetzt konnte ich einfach nicht die richtige Kette für mich finden, sie sollte einfach und elegant sein, aber auch zu vielen Outfits passen und plötzlich kam mir die Idee: ich gestalte einfach meine eigene Statement Kette!
Es war ziemlich einfach, da ich vor einem Jahr ein Armband mit auffallenden Strasssteinen gekauft, aber es nicht einmal getragen habe, daher habe ich mir gedachte, dass es eine gute Idee wäre diese Strasssteine zu „recyceln“ und sie zu einer Statement Kette, welche unterhalb gezeigt wird, umzuwandeln.
1) Think about the shape your statement necklace should have and cut it out of any carton you can find. Now you need some black fabric to glue it onto your carton.
1) Überlegt euch eine Form, welche eure Statement Kette später haben soll und schneidet sie aus einem Karton aus. Jetzt benötigt ihr etwas schwarzen Stoff, um ihn auf den Karton zu kleben.
2) Turn your carton to the other side and glue the edges on your carton.
2) Dreht euren Karton nun auf die andere Seite und klebt auch die Ränder gut auf eurem Karton fest.
3) If your want to you can paint the rest of your carton in black, to give it a constant look.
3) Wenn ihr wollt konnt ihr den Rest eure Kartons mit schwarzer Farbe bemalen um einen gleichmäßigen Look zu erzeugen.
4) Glue the rhinestones on your carton (ATTENTION: you should think about their exact places before!)
4) Klebt die Strasssteine auf euren Karton (ACHTUNG: ihr solltet euch zuvor überlegen wo ihr sie genau platzieren wollt!)
5) Place and glue all rhinestones properly onto your carton.
5) Platziert und klebt alle Strasssteine ordentlich auf den Karton.
6) Bore a hole into your carton.
6) Bohrt ein Loch in den Karton.
7) Pull a rope through the hole you made before.
7) Zieht ein Seil durch das Loch, welches ihr zuvor gemacht habt.
8) Adjust the length of your rope and fix it with a knot.
8) Adujstiert die Länge des Seiles und fixiert es mit einem Knoten.
