Hello Lovelies!
I’m in the lucky position to know an adorable couple, they are really good friends of my mother and they used to live in Southafrica, exactly Durban, for eight years. Sadly they sold their gorgeous house last summer, but they gave me the great opportunity to enjoy Southafrica for a last time before they sell it and move back to Austria.
For this reason I got on my turbulent way to Durban – there are no non-stop flights from Vienna to Durban, so I had to fly from Vienna to Dubai (four hours stay) and from Dubai to Durban. I don’t have to tell you guys how exhausted I’ve been after this flights, first thing when I arrived: take a shower and go to bed!
Below you will find some impressions of my days in Durban, we’ve visited the Durban Botanical Gardens, the Sea World in Ushaka Marine World, the beach and the Moses-Mabhida-Stadion.
I enjoyed the Botanical Gardens and the monkeys there were the first animals in Southafrica I saw, of course I wanted to take a close picture of them (no, they were not locked in a cage), well, what should I tell you…. they attacked me in a really mean way, but I was lucky enough to get out of this story without any hurts.
After two weeks in Durban we travelled to Tembe Elephant Park, but this is another story!

Ich befinde mich in der glücklichen Situation ein liebenswerten Paar zu kennen, sie sind sehr gute Freunde meiner Mutter und sie haben acht Jahre in Südafrika, genauer gesagt Durban, gelebt. Traurigerweise haben sie ihr wunderschönes Haus letzten Sommer verkauft, aber sie haben mir die Chance geboten noch einmal, bevor sie das Haus verkaufen und wieder nach Österreich ziehen, Südafrika zu genießen.
Aus diesem Grund habe ich mich auf meine turbulente Reise nach Durban gemacht – es gibt keine Direktflüge von Wien nach Durban, also musste ich von Wien nach Dubai (vier Stunden Aufenthalt vorort) und dann von Dubai nach Durban fliegen. Ich muss euch sicher nicht sagen wie erschöpft ich nach diesen Flügen war, erste Erledigung nachdem ich angekommen war: duschen und dann ab ins Bett!
Unterhalb findet ihr ein paar Impressionen meiner Tage in Durban, wir haben den Botanischen Garten Durbans, die Sea World im Ushaka Marine World, den Strand und das Moses-Mabhida-Stadion besucht. Mir hat es im Botanischen Garten sehr gut gefallen und die Affen dort waren die ersten Tiere welche ich in Südafrika gesehen habe, daher wollte ich ein möglichst nahes Fotos von ihnen schießen (nein, sie waren in keinem Käfig gefangen), naja was soll ich euch sagen….. sie haben mich auf äußerst gemeine Art und Weise angegriffen und ich hatte Glück, dass ich unverletzt aus der Geschichte rausgekommen bin.
Nach zwei Wochen in Durban sind wir zum Tembe Elephant Park gereise, aber das ist eine andere Geschichte!
